
A brown sugar and egg white meringue, with pecan pieces folded in, is dropped by small spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet and baked in a slow oven.
Cut each pecan half in half. Set aside. Beat egg white with salt until soft peaks form. Add brown sugar in 2 additions, beating lightly after each till it forms peaks. Stir in nuts; drop 2" apart onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a very slow oven at 250 degrees about 30 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet immediately.
