Pecan Snowballs

Holiday cookies shaped like snowballs filled with pecans and dusted with powdered sugar.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Butter, Softened
  • 4 Tsp Vanilla
  • 1 Cup Sugar1
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 4 Cups Sifted Flour
  • 3 to 4 Cups Finely chopped Pecans or Walnuts.
  • 1 Cup Sifted Powdered Sugar

Method

Cream Butter, Vanilla and Sugar until fluffy. Sift together and add Flour and Salt. Mix well. Mix in Nuts. Shape into 1 inch balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake and cool before rolling in Powdered Sugar. Bake at 325 for 20 minutes.

 

Notes: I don't suggest you double this recipe - mix may be too dry.
