Oyster Casserole


A traditional oyster casserole with crackers that is usually served at holiday time.



Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pt. oysters  
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt  
  • 3/4 cup melted margarine  
  • 3 cups saltine cracker crumbs (1 1/2 stack)  
  • 1/4 to 1/3 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

Method

Drain oysters. Combine crumbs, salt, pepper and margarine. Sprinkle 1/3 mixture in buttered casserole dish. Cover with layer of oysters. Add Worcestershire sauce to milk. Pour over. Repeat layers. Put last 1/3 of crumb mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
