Holiday Pockets

What a great use of leftover holiday ingredients. These pockets are great for watching the game and clearing out the fridge.
 

Ingredients

  • Leftover holiday turkey or ham
  • 16 oz of favorite cream cheese
  • 1 medium onion
  • Frozen roll dough, thawed
 
Method

Warm cream cheese to soften. Finely chop onion chop or shred your meat, then mix all together. Put a very small amount of oil onto the surface where you will be working with the dough. Firmly press your thawed rolls until they are flattened, then place a scoop of your meat filling onto the center. Securely pinch all sides of the dough to close your bread pocket. Then, bake until rolls are done and slightly brown.

 

Notes: I have also tried sauteing the onions before adding to the meat filling and this gives it another unique twist and of course salt and pepper to taste.
