Grandma's Peanut Butter Spectacular

These candies have a peanut butter filling coated with melted chocolate-flavored candy coating. Make them ahead and give as gifts.

Ingredients:

  • 1 24-oz. Package of Chocolate Almond Bark, chopped
  • 1 small jar of Creamy Peanut Butter (Can use crunchy)
  • 1 Stick of Butter (1/2 cup), softened
  • 2 Tbsp. Vanilla
  • 1 1-pound pkg. Powdered Sugar
  • Toothpicks

Method

Melt almond bark in a large saucepan over low heat. In separate bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, and vanilla. Add small portions of powdered sugar at a time until the mixture begins to form a ball. Shape mixture into about 30 smaller balls. Take one ball at a time, put toothpick in center and dip ball completely in the chocolate to coat. Place on waxed paper-lined trays and let stand until firm.

Notes: This is an old recipe of my grandmother's and now my son and daughter drive me crazy over the holiday's to make these.

Number of servings: 30
