Eggnog Cheesecake Mousse


Prepare this festive mousse dessert for your holiday dinner. Just fix up pudding mix using egg nog and sweetened whipped cream.



Ingredients:

  • 1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups prepared egg nog
  • 1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 cups sweetened whipped cream
  • 4 small candy canes or peppermint sticks

Method

Empty pudding mix into a large bowl. Add eggnog and blend with an electric mixer. Add cream cheese and nutmeg. Blend thoroughly on high speed. Gently fold in 2 cups of the whipped cream. Spoon mixture into 4 dessert cups, parfait glasses or punch cups. Top each serving with 1/4 cup whipped cream and place a candy cane in each cup. Top with a light sprinkling of additional nutmeg. Chill for 1 hour.

Notes: This easy recipe tastes great and looks wonderful! It can also be made well ahead of time, which is great during busy holidays.
