Dreamy Sugarplums

Use a food processor to combine ground nuts, candied ginger, dried fruits, spices & maple syrup for these little balls that are rolled in powdered sugar.
Ingredients
- 1 cup walnuts, toasted
- 1 cup almonds, toasted
- 1 tablespoon minced crystallized ginger
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup chopped dried apricots
- 1/2 cup pitted, chopped dates
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup confectioners sugar

Method
In a food processor finely chop nuts then add abd blend all ingredients, except the confectioners sugar. (Do not puree.) Form mixture into small balls by rolling teaspoonfuls between hands. Roll balls in powdered sugar.
Notes: The quintessential Christmas candy.
