Cranberry Sauce--Simply Divine!

This whole berry sauce is made with fresh cranberries, cooked in a sugar syrup until thickened, then flavored with diced candied orange peel and candied ginger.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg (12 oz.) raw cranberries
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup candied diced orange peel, chopped
  • 1/4 cup candied ginger, diced

Method

Bring cranberries, water and sugar to a boil, stirring frequently. Stir at medium boil for 4 to 5 minutes or until sauce thickens. Remove from heat and add orange and ginger. Stir occasionally as sauce cools. Serve at room temperature, or refrigerate until ready to serve with your holiday meal.
