Ingredients:

  • 6 egg whites, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar

Using a cake pan, outline two circles on wax paper. Slide a long cookie sheet underneath the wax paper. Gently spoon meringue mixture onto the two circles. Bake in a pre-heated, 250 degree oven for 2 hrs. Turn off heat but let meringues cool inside the oven. Fill bottom layer with some of the unsweetened whipped cream, stack layers and spread whipped cream all over top layer. Garnish with red hot candies.
