Red and green candied cherries, candied pineapple, dates and pecans are sprinkled on top of a vanilla wafer crumb crust and drizzled with a mixture of sweetened condensed milk and bourbon, then baked.
Put butter in jelly roll pan in a preheating 350 degree oven to melt butter while you crush the vanilla wafers. Take pan from oven and scatter crumbs over the butter. On top of crumbs arrange the candied fruit and pecans. Mix together sweetened condensed milk and bourbon; slowly pour over the entire top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until top is brown. Cool thoroughly and cut into squares. Best if served the next day.
