
This fresh cranberry relish is flavored with brandy and spices. Great with your holiday turkey or ham.
In heavy large saucepan, combine sugar and water and bring to a boil; boil gently, uncovered, for 3 minutes without stirring. Add cloves, cinnamon, cranberries and orange. Cook, stirring occasionally, on low heat 4 to 5 minutes until cranberries begin to pop. Remove from heat and stir in brandy or cognac. Allow to cool in pan. Transfer to a bowl and chill until serving.
